Protests in Egypt over President Morsi's Decrees, The View from Here

In Egypt new Pres. Morsi issued decrees assuming new powers sidestepping the courts freeing him of judicial oversight. All judges were app'd by deposed Pres. Mubarak. Still protests & clashes erupted thru out Egypt. Morsi said I'm working to achieve political & economic stability. I am careful to allow strong opposition that will strictly monitor me. The question is can he be believed?
